LLB: Practice or Judiciary -

After completing an LLB degree, there are several options available. One can choose to enter the legal profession and become a practicing lawyer or advocate, or pursue a career in the judiciary. Both fields require different paths and it is important for students to decide their career goals early on.

For those interested in becoming a judicial officer, they should focus on preparing for judicial exams right from the first year of their LLB degree. However, it is a misconception that if one fails to clear the judicial exams, they can automatically switch to practicing law. In today's competitive environment, it is important to have a clear target and work towards it.

If a student aims to become a successful advocate, they should start internships from the first year itself and focus on building their expertise. On the other hand, if they wish to compete in general competitive exams, it is advisable to start preparing after completing three years of LLB. It is important to note that both paths require dedication and maturity.

It is not possible to pursue both paths simultaneously. Failing in one does not automatically guarantee success in the other. Therefore, it is crucial to make a decision and commit to it. Competition in both fields is tough, so it is important to think carefully and take action accordingly.
